"She glides along the brim of the lake"

Does that make sense?

Or just plain rubbish?

  3. It depends what you're trying to portray. Are you talking about a boat? Or a girl?  Do you mean 'She glides around the RIM of the lake",as in, around the edge of it?

                If you mean that she, whoever she is, is gliding on top of the actual water, it might be better to say, "She glides across the mirror-like surface of the lake," or something like that.You can't really 'glide' on a brim.e.g. the brim of a hat.
