I am planning to buy a house. My realtor is in hospital right now and I don't wanna sit around doing nothing. I want to see more properties. Can I see it with one realtor and buy it through the realtor I trust?

  1. You could, but the one who shows it would be able to find out when you bought it, and both could end up charging you a fee

  2. Generally when a realtor is sick or on vacation someone else in the office takes their calls and deals with things for them.   They have set ways of sharing any commissions.  Just call your realtor's office and ask who is handling his or her business.

  3. Have the 2nd one share with the first.  Then everyone gets something and you get a house. /

  4. Realtor one could make a claim for commission from realtor two should the deal go through on the home realtor one showed you. If you do use another agent be sure to let them know that you were working with another agent and the circumstances - that way they can work it out between each other.

  5. Of course. But use an agent from the same office so it stays in-house and they can decide how to split the commission.

  6. That's a rotten thing to do. Your just asking somebody to waste their time and money while you play games. Would you want somebody to do that to you?

If your realtor is any good they should have someone on call to help them. Ask them who to see.
