Can I sell a boat that was left on my property for more then 60 days? I have no idea who it belongs to? Can I legally sell it as a non title boat? Or what can I do? It's a very small and has no motor.

  1. You'll have to do a schedule 40. with DPS   If the boat isn't reallly anything , it would be cheaper to just have it impounded with the police department. This will not cost anything.

  2. First you will need to speak with your county Clerk. If the boat has no serial # it is untraceable. If it does you will need to locate the owner. Contact the owner if possible with a certified letter. If the boat is not claimed within a 60-90 day period the property is considered abandoned, and you can take ownership.

Be sure to to get your letter notarized!

  3. ya you can i think

  4. no you can not sell it. it is not you property
