I heard that credit cards are a restricted item from being sent overseas.

  1. I can't (for the life of me) see why credit cards would be "restricted".  I've never seen one explode!  Meltdown yes... but NEVER explode.  LOL

The only thing I would suggest is that if you were going to send a credit card through the mail, that you send it registered post.  No postal service is perfect, and things do go missing.  At least if the letter is "registered", you'll be able to track it and know that it reached its destination.

What the "restriction" may mean though, is that you can't (for example) apply for a credit card in (say) America, and send it to a friend in Denmark as a birthday gift.  Obviously, the credit card provider wants to know that the person applying for the card is the person that is going to be using it and making the repayments.

But -- for argument's sake -- if your friend flew out to London for six weeks, and left their credit card in the bedside table (for some OBSCURE reason)... I don't see any reason you couldn't Fedex/send it by registered mail to them, regardless of which country you are in.

  2. i don't know if they are restricted - I wouldn't trust it anyway

  3. I don't think so. Since we have a lots of places that do not accept credit card issued abroad.
