Can I send a word pad file as an attachment from a computer that does not have Word?

I don't have Microsoft Word and I just got an application on Wordpad. Can I fill it out and send it back as an attachment or do I need to do that from a computer that has Word?

  1. Open the Wordpad document.

    click File

    click Save As

    see if you can click the down arrow next to Filetype and see if txt is available.

    Send the txt document to your friend.  He/she should be able to open that.

    or

    go to www.media-convert.com and convert the Wordpad doc to a PDF.  Anyone with Adobe Reader can read it.
