No. They do not take personal checks.  You can go to your local Western Union and pay cash or you can call them or go on-line from their website and use a credit card....BUT, I highly recommend you check their website to prepare yourself for their RIDICULOUS fees prior to doing anything.  Their fees are based on the amount you are sending and unless you are sending money to a business in the Philippines via Western Union Quick Collect- you are going to pay a HUGE "convenience fee" to send to a person.  Good Luck and make sure you prepare for  the "convenience fee amount" it is OUTRAGEOUS for everything but bill paying via quick collect.
