I'm debating getting a new iMac or Mac Pro. I have a nice flat screen plasma that I'd like to view video from the Internet.

What's the best way to do that?

Thanks!

  1. you'll need to buy a small adapter that will be able to output your mac screen to any RCA or S-video capable device.  These cost roughly $30.

  2. Yes, you can. Both the iMac and Mac Pro have DVI-A/D (analog/digital). You can get a DVI to HDMI cable for $20–$40. The Mac Pro has a full size DVI and the iMac has a mini-DVI, but you can buy a mini-DVI to full size DVI for $19.

Another alternative is the TV (Apple TV). http://www.apple.com/appletv/
