  1. Most blogging web sites require that you are age 13 and up. It's no different than Yahoo! Answers (unless an account with incorrect information is used). Or if you are underage, that you have go through a process to prove that you have permission to blog. This is because of the COPPA rule - see http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/busp... for more information. See http://phoom.blogspot.com/2004/10/bloggi... for a good list of blogs to check out if you are under age.

If the above doesn't apply to you, then try popular, free blogging services:

    Blogger/Blogspot (http://blogger.com ), Wordpress (http://wordpress.com ) and Livejournal (http://livejournal.com ).

I use Yahoo! 360 (http://360.yahoo.com/kee_y360 ), which a social-networking service that features a blog. Since you have a Yahoo ID you can create a 360 space as well.

While logged into a yahoo service (mail, answers, whatever), type 360.yahoo.com in your web browser's address field (or just type 360 in a Yahoo! toolbar). Start creating your 360 space from there. Click the "Get Started" on the far right section of that page. Click the "Yahoo! 360 Home" link on the upper right corner of the page to enter the space. For more details on how to set up elements of your 360 space, see http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/ . Keep in mind that 360 is a beta service, so there are many bugs. If you have problems, check the Answers area or click on my avatar and scroll down to click on my "Starred Questions" tab.

    A good blog to me:

    1) Mainly, is one that is authentic. Your thoughts, your creative background, your interests - there's only one "you," so be expressive! I know, that's corny, but it's true.

    2) Keep it updated.

    3) Theme... is your blog a commentary on the latest news? Is it a diatribe about activities in your daily life? Is it only about your pet's quirks? A theme isn't necessary, but a purpose helps. Now, if you just want to write anything that comes to mind, well, try to make it sound like an interesting read.

    4) A sense of fun - humor always helps.
