Can I set up a "Texas hold'm" ?

Going on a cruise and wondering if I can set up a game or does the ship already have a game ???

The casinos on the Carnival ships Ecstasy and Conquest both had Texas Hold 'Em tables plus many other games.

Most likely the ship will have a Texas Hold'Em table, but it depends on the line as to what their rake is.  On Royal Caribbean they are taking a rake of 10% with no cap, which means on a pot of $300 they will take $30 off the table.  NCL is doing a rake of 10% to $25.  The last time I was on a Carnival Cruise they were doing a reasonable rake of 10% to $5 but they may have changed rakes since then since the other lines are getting away with the excessive rakes.

What I have started doing is bringing my chips with me and finding other players and starting our own game in the game room or in the covered area of the pool deck.
