Can I set it up on my own if I take a box from home and have a

dish? Do I have to contact the company about it?

  1. You can move it anywhere as long as you have a clear view of the southern sky.  (Assuming you live in N. America) They don't care where you use it as long as you have the access card, receive and dish you are good to go.

  2. I think you can as long as the access card inside is working properly.  You will of course have to have the dish set up and peaked (aligned) correctly, and the cables run, but once that is done you should be able to hook up the box and have it work.

  3. Are these people serious with these answers????  Do they think you should unbolt and move your dish???

Directv has a mobile version with it's own antenna, but it's expensive - that's what you need to look in to.

  4. As long as you can get the dish aimed correctly, it really shouldn't matter.
