I have a nintendo Wii, i'm looking to get it hooked up to the net but dont have a home PC. The guys at virgin (who are supplying my broadband) have said its no problem but now I'm starting to wonder as it all seems a bit too easy??

I know I need a LAN adaptor but is there anything else or has anyone had a similar issue??

  1. As the Wii is wireless, all you need is a wireless modem. If you have one no problem. Your Wii will connect itself.

    Good luck.

  2. Of course you can :-)

Although you are probably right to doubt the virgin guys (sometimes they aren't always the sharpest crayons in the box lol), they are correct this time.

You just connect the lan adaptor to the modem and the wii and off you go !!

I have my wii connected online wireless now though, it seems much easier :-)

  3. Yep, sure will.

All you need to do is to buy a wireless router, these can come from any PC or game shop for around £30 ($60).

You can activate the router over the phone if you dont have a computer attatched to it, its pretty simple.
