Hey, I am looking to sew patches on my backpack and I have ordered some iron-on patches and I was wondering if I can sew them on instead of ironing them because I feel that sewing them on will make them able to stay on longer?

  1. Yes you can, I did it before, It actually helps hold it on better. All you have to do is iron it on. then sew on the edges on the iron on patch or well the outsides :]

  2.   you iron it on so it stays in position when you sew it, otherwise it will just peel off after two or three times through the wash. I've done it.

  3. I frequently sew them on so they won't come off so easily.  First, I iron them on, then use a zig-zag stitch, with matching thread, on my sewing machine to go around the edge of the patch.

  4. yah im sure you can but why not just iorn them and then sew to be safe lol jk its fine to just sew
