Can I sew paper with a sewing machine? If I can, do I need a certain needle or weight of paper?

I am going to use cardstock and then some vellum.

No particular needle needed, but do use a long stitch length -- 1/4" or more if possible.

Yes, you can.  No, you don't.  Just be sure to change your needle when you are done with your paper project and insert a new needle for your fabric sewing.  have fun.
