Can I skip the AZ drivers permit test?

I read on answers.com that I am required to take a written test to get my drivers permit, but I have already completed a driver's ED course at my school. Does this mean I can skip the written test?

Your best bet is to call the DMV in your area but I don't believe anyone is exempt from the written test unless you are renewing the license.
