I just got a new kind of contact lenses, and I heard that you can sleep in them, but it might be a rumor. They are Acuvue Oasys with hydroclear plus.

  1. uh no way my mom did that and now she cant see right

  2. You should never ever sleep in your contacts without your doctor monitoring you for extended wear use. Even if a lens is aproved for that, your doctor might want to see you after you have slept in them  to see how your eye is doing after you do that. then they might tell you it is ok, or they might want to switch you to a different lens that would be healthier for you specifically. There is a higher incidence of complications any time you sleep in a lens, even if is it approved by the FDA to do so. Whether or not YOU should sleep in them is something that only you and your doctor can determine.  You should call the office where you purchased them and discuss it whith them. Your vision is too precious to mess around with!

  3. I wear contacts that they say you can wear while sleeping.  The problem is that in the mornings they are often down in the bottom of my eye, folded over.  I take them out at night now

  4. I've heard that you can to.

But when you're sleeping, your body uses that time to heal so be in the most natural state as possible. Like makeup off, nice loose pj's, and contacts out.

Might as well not take the risk because its an excellent place for bacteria and such nasty things to grow.

  5. Better to remove before sleeping. A bit of extra effort can save your eyesight
