Well my mom does it. We cough sometimes if she doesn't role down the window.But never do it around the baby.

You can if you want there is no law against it, it might encurage them to smoke and they can breath in the smoke too and thats not very good, thats why at fancy resteraunts the employee asks "Smokeing or non-smokeing?"

if you have to ask a question like this iam sure you know what the right answer is already. A car is a very resticted place to be as it is and to light up with your kids in the back is a very selfish act. They can't get out if they wish to get away from the smoke so you are in fact making them smoke as well, I think it should be made illegal .If you can't go for a simple trip in the car without smoking i suggest you get help from a quit program who can be very helpful. If not just think of your kids breathing in secondhand smoke, which I might add is actually worse than smoking itself , if you have to light up tey walking instead that way the kids can run ahead of you and not be affected

Well, you really shouldn't because they are Extremely Susceptible to Second hand smoke which is even more deadly than smoking because the cigarette has a filter and when you breath out your kids get even more smoke than u.

also unless u want your kids to smoke when they grow up then go ahead.

Pull over and smoke outside if you really need to smoke. It is better if you just wait until you get to where you are going before smoking. Smoking is a driving deterrent and it is better to focus on the road and be safe with children in the car. And the second hand smoke is very dangerous.

You can if you choose, but its not recommended.  If I remember correctly, in the state of California, its actually illegal to smoke in the car with anyone under the age of 13as a passenger.  I can't remember exactly, but it was something like that.  I'm pretty sure no other states have that law.... yet

perhaps the question should be do you really want too?  it is illegal in some parts of the world and illegal in others.  you will need to contact your city center to find out your local laws.

My grandfather used to smoke in the car with me in the backseat. I thought I was going to choke to death every single time. I HATED it!!

I cannot tell you what to do, but I wish you wouldn't let the 2nd hand smoke get to the kids.

That is not a wise choice if you do because it can cause your kids so many long term problems like asthma, enfasemia, lung spazms, coughing, allergies, and lung diease. Sorry I can't spell! In some states, its a felony to smoke in the car when you have children present and if you really loved your children you would really want what is best for them...clean air to breath.
