Can I specify which playlists I want on my iPod?

I want all of the playlists that I've created to be on my iPod (2nd gen Nano), but recently iTunes has been automatically adding the Recently Played and Recently Added playlists to my iPod. I don't want to delete them from iTunes, but I don't need them on my iPod. Is there a way to deselect them from getting onto my iPod? Thanks.

Yes just unselect all the items on the playlist you do not want. Using the unselect all button of coarse :)

You can do a manual sync with your iPod, which takes longer, but yes, it's possible.
