Can I start ballet at 13?

Question

i have been dancing for a year, but i made the dance company at my school, so i want to get better and take ballet. I would really like to end up going on pointe, is it still possible?

deffinatly! you're never too old to start ballet! some of the girls in my class just started dance this year. and I just started pointe last year... but if you really want to do it go ahead!

sure. however lame it sounds, you can do anything. i started guitar at 17. they said it would be harder to learn but i gave it my all and ended up being pretty satisfied. just give a shot and give it your all. GOOD LUCK!!

Most ballet dancers, likemyself, start when they where 3. But I think you can stil start it, even though you will be behind.I have been in ballet for 10 years, since I was three. I am now 13 too.

yea of course you can i started when i was 3 but since you are 13 you just will be a little behind from the people who have been doing it all their life but sure u can do anything that u set ur mind too

Ya!! If you're worried aboutr starting at this age and being behind, or being the oldest, then don't worry. I'm sure that there's some begginer class for different ages.  Whatever you're worried about, ignore it. Just do it and have fun!!!

Yes you can. I started when I was 15. And I was put on pointe when I was 16. So you can definitely do it.
