I'd like to go back to the UK to get my Post-Study Work visa after having graduated from a UK university. Can I enter the country on my student visa even though I am no longer a student? Will they let me in if I tell them I'm there to get the Post-Study Work visa? Thanks

  1. In the visa application form all categories of visa are specified and when you fill the form for post-study work visa you will be required to meet certain conditions and being a graduate from a uk university will be an added advantage and it will also depend on your course of study, what you should do is to first of all apply and get a job there since you are familiar with the place or get a resident to find a job for you and then you can go back, your student visa may still work if the school acknowledges that you are still their student in writing to the embassy, then you can go back and while there get a job and convert your visa to post-study work visa, it would have been easier when you were there to get the job and convert but now it will require that you are financially capable of accomodating and feeding yourself for the duration you would like to stay, or alternatively re-apply for a masters degree and while studyind then try and do the post-study work visa before you leave uk again. Since you studied in uk you can apply on the category of Highly Skilled Migrant Programme

  2. I would suggest if it still in date you can, all visas have an expiration date other than indefinite leave to remain ones.
