  1. its probably too late.

  2. I'm in much the same position, except Revenue Canada has started to send me nasty letters about filing a return.

Just bite the bullet and file the *** thing.  You may even get some money back.  Without filing, you won't get the GST refunds, Family Allowance, etc.

The only certainties are death and taxes ....

  3. Of course you can.  File it now and if you are owed a refund, they'll send it just like everyone else's.

You can still file 10 years later if you're willing to let them hold the money for you.

If you do owe tax, though, you will be fined and pay interest on the amount.

  4. You can still file your return.  It is only if you owe money to the Canadian government that you face penalties for not filing.

On the other hand, if you are entitled to receive GST, you won't until you file.  Also, some other credits and benefits will not be received (if you qualify for them).

File now and get your money.  Go to H&R Block and have them do it for you.  They are only open a few days a week, so call them first.

  5. I am in much agreement with the above answer.  If you are owed a refund, I would file now.  Especially since you have the window of time of 10 years to file your returns.
