I am a junior. I am taking chemistry AP,yearbook, precalc Honors, English 3 CP,US history CP, Spanish 3 CP.

I am considering dropping chem ap down to honors.(I am bad at chem)

Will I still have enough to get into UC?

around 3.6-3.7 UC gpa when i apply(if i drop chem ap)

3.7-3.8 UC gpa if I ace my 3 community college courses next summer.

Lets say 26 ACT, 700 SATII Bio, 700 SAT II math lvl, 700 SAT II us history. Hopefully, I'll be yearbook business manager. And i'll have a job working 20 hours a week.

Is that enough for UCSB,UCI,or UCSC?

Thanks.

  1. UCSC would be no problem but you would not be a shoo in at the other 2. Your GPA would be below their average of about 3.9 (UC weighted) and your ACT average. So it would come down to factors like how rigorous your course load has been, what part of the state you live in (easier from rural areas and places they get fewer apps from)  and your essay. In my experience while the stats look pretty similar, SB is harder to get into than Irvine so that's the one you're most risking.

Also, I don't think college classes after junior year will factor in.
