Can I still get the BlackBerry Pearl and not use Internet?

Question

I really like the BlackBerry Pearl from T-mobile and want to get it...the only thing is, I don't want to pay an almost $30 extra just to be able to browse on the internet. I really like the phonee and I was wondering if its possible to purchase the phone and not have to pay for internet if I chooose not to have internet. I know the purpose of the phone is so that a person CAN use the internet but i'm not so interested in that, just the phone itself. Someone please let me know soon, thanks :)

with T-Mobile you can get just a voice plan on any smartphone. The sales agent is going to really try to suggestive sell it but its not mandatory. Without the data plan you can still any features of the phone that dont require a data session.

Yes you can. just don't apply for the internet plan, its all service.

I don't no the real answer for this but you could just tell the people that you don't want to have the Internet on your phone.I'm positive that they could just give you a phone and it would not have the internet on it.

you can purchase the phone WITHOUT  the date plan.

i bought my BB Curve with no data plan.....

but now I got data plan because it has limited function without the data plan.

Yea my blackberry only has the voice and text plan and i just use WiFi for surfing the web, although its cheaper you don't have as much freedom when surfing the web due to having to be around WiFi
