Can I still operate my video camera during takeoff and landing?

i was on a plane a month a go and i wanted to take a vid of landing and takeoff they say that if your catch you with a cam once they told you you will get a fine. but i still did it once everybody`s seated. just be careful.

Obviously if people post videos of takeoffs and landings on youtube, it should be possible if not already legal.

Im a pilot for flybe and the rule is you are not allowed to, but taking pics or a video does not put the aircraft in any trouble, so the best time to use your camera is when the pilots say cabin crew to seats, i know of cases wher passangers have been taken off the plane for using cameras, but most of the time if you are caught the crew will ask you to turn it off.
