I have 2 scholarships...one that covers my entire tuition and the other gives me 750 per semester to cover books. If my EFC is zero, will I still recieve aid like the Pell or SEOG grant?

  1. Yes, I received a private scholarship, HOPE, and Governor's.....along with the Pell Grant and SEOG Grant. My EFC was 0 as well. The only issue is that there is a maximum amount of money that a school can disburse to you in an academic year, depending upon housing, fees, and tuition.  Meaning, the school will pay for all of your fees but they are kind of stingy about giving you a huge refund check.  However, I received about 13,000 in financial aid total.  The yearly max was 16,000, and my tuition , fees, housing were only around 10,000 yearly. As long as you maintain good standing, you will never have anything to worry about as far as paying for your tuition, and they can't deprive you of money that you earn through hard work..

  2. Yes you can, you may not receive the maximum that you may have gotten if you didn't have scholarships but you will still receive some.
