Question:

Can I still straighten my tree?

I have a 6' tall , about 4" trunk circumference on my shade tree. It is about 6 years old but is leaning because of the wind. Can I still straighten it and how much pressure should I put on the pull to get it upright. It is leaning about 15 degrees not much but as it grows it could be challenging. Help.

  1. Yes, it's not too big to straighten.  Just attach a rope or a wire to it and leave it there for a couple of years.  Make sure you have padding where the rope makes contact with the trunk of the tree.
