Can I still use it for my new hermit crab?

When I was 8 i found a new bigger cage for my hermit crab in someones trash it looked brand new so I brought it home and washed it. My big mistake was I used soap... Its been like over 3 years now and I was wondering if I could use it for my new hermit crab, If i rinsed it with hot boiling water first. Or would tht melt it? Thank You!

you can use soap and water to clean out a tank, you just have to rinse it REALLY well...

hmm. it probably wouln't melt it if you didn't keep it in for a long time.

if you can buy a cheap one and test it and then see if it melts it or not.

For sure you can use it now. Just rinse it out really well, dry it out and put it in! Good job on the recycling,it's amazing what people will throw away.
