Can I still use my Visa gift card?

Question

Alright, so I received my Visa gift card and opened it up, throwing away the case it came in. Then, I went to the store to use it and Voila! My card hadn't been activated yet! I have no idea if I can still activate my card, or what to do if I can. I still have the card, just not the instructions...help?

maybe there is a phone number on the back of the card. mine had one and that's how I activated it!!!
