Can I still use the Cutter if it has run out of...

Question

I have the Roland VP-540 and I have run out of ink and wont be able to get some more til tomorrow. In the mean time I need to do some vinyl cutting can I use the machine for cutting or do I have to wait til I get my ink. The machine just beeps and wont let me use any other functions, I just want to know if there is anything I can do to allow me to use the cutter. Your help will be much appreciated.
