I run a small business-related group, and have a member I do not wish to unsubscribe for various reasons BUT would like to stop sending messages to for a period- obviously they could read them online, but I dont want to draw attention or require them to take any action to do this. Anyone got any ideas?

  1. you could do as Richard suggested however that member can reset their mail options back- and generally when the mail option is reset it's done by the owner and not a bot, so this member will know someone did that.

other than setting them to no mail, there's no other way to stop posts from goign to their e-mail.

  2. Go to the group, click edit membership along the top. In the next window scroll down and uncheck where it says individual email then you can check pick up your mesages at the site, receive a daily digest or no email. Click save changes

  3. find him by clicking on members and entering his email. reset his settings to no email. save changes then send out the messages. after you have sent out the messages reset his setting to the previous and he will be none the wiser. providing that your group does not store its messages. then he could just read it from the group. if you do store them then simply delete it after you have sent it out.
