Can I substitute brown sugar for white sugar in no bake cookies??

I wanted to make some oatmeal no bake cookies, but I am out of white sugar. I don't have time to run to the store for some.

  1. no because brown sugar caramelizes differently then white sugar, they won't turn out how you want them to.


  2. yes you can .. white sugar and brown sugar are very similar except  for the fact that brown sugar is healthier .... so go ahead and use the brown sugar and i bet it will taste the same
