Question:

Can I substitute the ACT w/ writing for SAT II's at Boston University?

I'm applying to colleges next fall and I'm trying to make sure I've got all my bases covered for applications. I recently took the ACT w/ writing and got a 32. I've also taken the SAT I for a 720/620/610 (first try, no prep).

Anyway, BU is on my list of schools to apply to. Most schools say that I can submit my ACT (w/ writing) in lieu of SAT subject tests (SAT II's), but BU is a little confusing. Some things say that they want SAT II's even if you have taken the ACT (like collegeboard, but I don't trust them because they own the SAT and probably want my money).

The BU website made it sound like I could substitute my ACT scores for SAT II's.

To be safe, I'll probably wind up taking a few subject tests, but would it be required or just be extra?

  1. If you want to take sat2s (i dont know why u would, theyre time consuming and annoying as h**l) then problem solved.

but if you dont, look on BU's website for a number. i'm sure the admissions area has one. call and ask a representative. or look in a book, like a Princeton Review book. any college book with good details will do.
