Can I sue a local Mexican restaurant if I slipped on a soggy taco that someone left lying on the floor?

I didn't drop the aforementioned taco by the way. Can the owners of the restaurant argue that I should have "seen" the soggy taco on the floor and avoided it? Do I have a leg to stand on in court? Actually, I'm recovering in a wheelchair right now and can't actually stand but you know what I mean.

whats with everybody suing everybody?? is some big get rich scam or something the only way you can and should sue is if you were seriously injured and have medical expenses and missed of on work

Well, some lady won a lawsuit against mcdonalds when she spilled their hot coffee on herself while driving... so I'm going to say yes, you could win, especially if you're in a wheelchair.

But i have no experience or knowledge whatsoever so don't do as i say. Just thought i'd tell you that story... k good luck.

Yes, if the accident happened on their property and the accident was caused by their failure to maintain the floors properly, you have a case.

I'd say that it is possible, but you may not win the case. However, if the owner/workers have seen the taco and could not be bothered, it is their fault. They should have a Janitor to take care of messes for them.

But yeah, I guess you could go to court if your in a wheelchair right now but it's your own risk.
