Me and my twin sister went to a nail salon to get our nails done yesterday for our birthday. After playing musical chairs with three different nail techs, and two hours later (that's a long time) my sister and I had botched up nails. We were unahappy with the work and the man who was working on me, when I would bring something up he would get angry and ignore my requests. My sister and I were running late for a birthday dinner party so we didn't have time for them to take off the nails and redo them. I was like i'm not paying 35 for crappy nails. They took 5 dollars off. I was like I"m not paying 30 dollars for nails that I have to go get redone anyway. I talked them down to 15 dollars for my sisters nails but they refused with me. So they called the cops on me and locked the doors and made me stay there till the cops got there. The owners husband grabbed my wrist on several occasions saying " I Fix I fix " in an angry accent. Can I sue for him touching me like that ?

  1. You evil woman!  How dare you decide that you should not pay!!  This is the reason they are in business, you went to them they worked on your nails and because you were not happy you decide to not pay them!!!

Give me a break you spoiled brat.....

You just never go back but the nerve of you,, I would have broken your wrist!

  2. Like Classy Chick said, you're a little ridiculous.  As for suing, the judge would most likely laugh at you and you would waste a lot of money.  I'm not saying that his touching you was acceptable, however he was only trying to fix your nails at no extra charge (you didn't state otherwise).  I've had situations where I was extremely unhappy and it reflected in their tip.  And that was IT.  I would never have thought to cause a scene so bad that the police would need to be called.

  3. I would think so. Thats some form of assault if you were resisting and he kept pulling you. If the police did come then you should have filed a report against the owners. Locking the doors and refusing to lower your price was ridiculous.

I hate getting my nails done after a horrible experience at a nail shop when it was my Grandmother's funeral and I went for a fill and the lady messed them up and I had  no time to get them fixed because the funeral was the next day out of town. She kept saying, "come next week I do better..." omg.

  4. you should  have  called  the  police yourself  when  he  grabbed  you   but  he  beat you to  it  for  non  payment which  is  his  right.

all you   can  do is  boycott which i highly recommend  as  a punitive  measure but  it  only  works  if  the  mall and  store  management  is  aware  of  it.  it  doesnt  matter  how  much  word  of  mouth  you  can  do  as  long as  at  least  one  or two people  call the  staore  and  inform them they  will  never  return. .

    vote  with  your  money

  5. You probably could try to sue, but I don't really think anything would come of it. You're better off speaking to the owner or manager of the salon and trying to get the employees in question fired or in some kind of trouble.

  6. EWWW! He did that?! LOSER! People sue for millions of reasons so why not? I personally wouldn't bother. I would report them to the Bad Bussiness Bureau. Good Luck!
