  1. Absolutely.  It's considered criminal to write a bad check.  Speak with an attorney pronto.

  2. ya know, some people just don't have the money to pay back.  have you ever heard "you can get blood out of a turnip."  a few years ago i too had a lady to give me a bad check.  You can go to your local court house to the Bad check Div.  they will file to pick her up and she will have to pay back aver cent plus a small fee for you.  To start out call your police and ask where you need to go.  But now if she has money in the bank and a good job you can sue her.  You will need a address on her plus if you have a S.S. # it would help.

    Good luck on sueing her.

  3. Of course, Yes!

Are u saying U cashed the check for her under your checking account immediately?

    YOU HAVG TO............do..........

Does this transaction be shown on your statement?

U can ask your bank to get a copy of that check (back and front)....

P.S. (for your future ref) Normally, a check takes 2-5 days to be cleared up via Federal Reserve Bank.

    visit attorney for advices asap!

  4. By all means sue her.  What she did may also be a crime and the police can answer that.
