  1. Your employer's Personnel Policy Manual should spell out exactly what is allowed and not allowed on office equipment, as well as what will happen if they discover abuses of their policies.

    An employer is allowed to keep an eye on all internet traffic, going into and out of their computers.  They are allowed to install key-loggers which track every key you press.

    If I were you, I'd try to weigh the benefits of your paycheck vs. using the internet for personal purposes.

  3. You should be able to, as long as you are working, and do that in your lunch break.

    If you have to have a quick chat, leave a spreadsheet open, so when he comes past, quickly press Alt-Tab together, or click on the spreadsheet. There is also a pedal available that when you press it, it opens a load of work up.

    To stay on the safe side, leave your home computer on during the day, and install LogMeIn, so that you can remotely access it!
