Can I swim with a belly ring? URGENT!!?

I've had my belly button pierced for two weeks now and I am going on holiday. My parents don't know I have my belly button pierced and they want to go swimming..

Can I go swimming or should I stay out?

your not supposed to get in any water until 3 months after you get it pierced. except to shower. i had mine pierced and went swimming, it got really infected and i was forced to take it out. hope i helped ;)

you should have thought about that before you did it...but if you really didint want them to find out then you wouldnt have done it...you could try wearing a full piece swimsuit or shirt and board shorts or you can just suprise them.... its only a belly peircing tell them it was either a  tattoo or peircing and  you thought they would prefer a bely ring instead

after 2 weeks you should be OK, the inflammation should be over. if your parents don't know, it's gonna be interesting.

Firstly, when i first got my belly button pierced i didn't go swimming for a month due to the fact that i was scared of it not had not healed properly and the chlorine would do something to it. So only go if you think it has properly healed.

Secondly, I seriously think you should tell your parents you have pierced it because when they find out they will flip.

So stay out this time round and try to get your parents in a good mood so you can let it slip about you belly...
