My phone was broken a few months back.I am just now looking for a new one and I would love to have the Sony Ericsson W580i.

But we have a family plan with Alltel already,so I need to continue with that plan.

So,is this possible?

And if so,please give me instructions on how to.

Thanks(:

  1. No, AT&T Wireless uses GSM Type phones, where Alltel uses CDMA.

  2. sorry Katie but the SE W580i from ATT will not work. ATT is a GSM carrier and uses a sim card, Alltel uses NO sim card and is a CDMA carrier.

Also Alltel will not allow unlocked phones on their network per their website.

  3. Katy, all of the answers you have received so far are correct and I just want to say that the phone you so badly want is not a very good choice.  They have a product advisory out on them from the manufacturer because the keys on the keypad break so easily.  I would hate to guess how many of these device we replace every single day
