Can I synchronize my e-mail on my Blackberry with Outlook?

I just got a Blackberry Curve today, and I set up the Blackberry Desktop software. I can synchronize my contacts, tasks, calender, and notes, but the selection for "Reconcile Messages" is blanked out, like I can't use it. Is there something I need to do to enable this? I'd like to set my e-mail program not to check my e-mail, and instead to get it from my Blackberry, so I don't have to manage e-mail on both the Blackberry and the computer.

Email doesn't sync via the Desktop Manager. Unless your BlackBerry is connected to a BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) you won't have that option (and you need to install the Desktop Manager using the BES option).
