Can I take 10 luggages to a Lufthansa flight from USA to Europe?

According to the Lufthansa's policy, in addition to my allowed 2 luggages, I may bring extra luggages provided that I pay the necessary fee for each bag. Please see:

http://www.lufthansa.com/online/portal/lh/us/info_and_services/baggage?l=en&nodeid=1769640&cid=1000390

I will leave the U.S. permanently and have around 8 luggages more that I must bring in addition to my 2 allowed luggages.

The policy does not stipulate a limit as to how many more luggages I can bring. When I call the Lufthansa customer service, when I say 8, 10 something like that, they instantly offer me the cargo option, which I do not prefer! (please do not recommend me cargo)

Anyhow, I was wondering, if you have ever flown with Lufthansa from the USA to Europe and checked in extra luggages in addition to your 2 free allowed luggages and how many extra luggages you brought?

Thanks so much!

  1. Yes. You can bring as much as you want. But you are going to be paying an extra $ for each bag you check.

  2. The Lufthansa people are trying to do you a favor.  Your fees for your excess baggage are going to be a minimum of $480 dollars and could go as high as double that.  I shipped a whole book store and furniture for only $680 from LA to Vietnam.  So your baggage fees are going to be excessive and there are much better ways to do this.

But... If you insist, there is no problem with 8 extra bags.
