  1. I would say don't take the two together at all!

Ativan- used to treat anxiety, prescription

    http://www.medicinenet.com/lorazepam/art...

DRUG INTERACTIONS: Lorazepam and all benzodiazepines interact with other medications and drugs that slow the brain's processes such as alcohol, barbiturates, narcotics, and tranquilizers. There have been cases of marked sedation when lorazepam was given to patients taking the tranquilizer loxapine (Loxitane); it is unclear if there is a drug interaction, but caution should be used if lorazepam and loxapine are used together.

  2. Both have sedative effects so safety says no. However, since it is 8/8/08 Gonzo wisdom says take them together with a 30mg Adderall XR and feel lucky tonight!! NOTE- this is not recommended for most non-freaks who lack mileage mixing uppers and downers.

P.S.-Xanax at 2mg is a great sub for the Ativan. Be aware you will need help being "poured in and out" of the car however.
