I'm on my period (first day) and it hurts like h**l. I took one Tylenol 3 hours ago and it worked fine until about 20 minutes ago. I don't have any other pills and I'm seriously crying because it hurts so badly. Can I take it or do I have to wait 3 hours? Please help

I'm 16

  1. its tylenol ur fine it want hurt you. and ur dam* lucky that tylenol helps with your cramps when five want do me justice. tylenol is the safest drug there is

  2. It should be fine to take another one, I often take 3 at once

  3. Take one more, it won't hurt you. I would also recomend a hot bath so you can soak....it helps ease the cramps. Going to bed early will also help. :) Hope it gets better, doll! <3

  4. What is it like every 4 hrs? Rule of thumb, when I was passing meds out at a retirement home, you can give it an hour before or and hour after window.

  5. well you suppose to take 2 every 4 hrs as needed so since you took 1 it shouldbe alright

  6. you can take 4 advil and 2 tylenol at the same time, they are difference active drugs. this is what my doctor told me to do for the pain from a kidney infection.

  7. you should be fine to take it again but maybe you should take 2 this time to help keep the pain at bay longer.

  8. I think it will be fine, but try other methords of controlling the pain first. Try cuddling a hot water bottle, or taking a bath.

  9. you can alternate with tylenol and advil. tylenol never helped me..i always used aleve or advil.

  10. depends on ur tolerance. for instance, i know my system can handle it. not sure about urs.

  11. Since the correct dose is 2 tablets, another dose now is not a problem.   As a nurse, we allow 30 minutes before or after the due time, in the hospital setting.

  12. It should say on the bottle maximum dosage (for example 4 every 10 hours) i had a toothache recently and my dentist told me to take a tylenol every 3 hours so i think your good..but if you start to feel dizzy you should stop taking them too quick

  13. Ya you will be find.....but dont take more then 8 a day

  14. It should be fine to take more, just don't make a habit of it.

  15. They recommend that 4 hours elapse between doses of acetominophen. If you took a dose, say 3 1/2 hours ago, it would probably be OK to take another dose now. Indeed, it would probably be OK to take the full recommended dose (2 tablets) unless you have some kind of sensitivity to this medication. If you had taken the full recommended dose 3 hours ago, you might have benefitted more from the medication. See if you can hold out for 3 1/2 to 4 hours between the first dose and the second one that you want to take  just to be on the safe side, take the full recommended dose according to the direction on the label, lie down with your legs elevated on a pillow and do something mindless and relaxing, like watching TV. It should help.
