I have heard they are having trouble with Sky at the moment, is it worth taking a freeview box in the hope of getting some English channels?

  1. You are going to the Canary Islands, and you are going to want to watch television?

    For goodness sake---dont do it

  2. Yes you can take one but it wont work.

  3. I don't think that there is any chance that it will work The problem is the satellite "Footprint". This is its coverage area on the earth's surface. This simply does not extend to the Canaries!

    Sorry.

  4. Television?  Is that right?  You want to watch (beeping) television whilst on holiday?  I'm quite sure that you know this already, being such a highly intelligent bloke, but why not visit Timanfaya National Park?   And the "Tunnel of Atlantis" is the largest submerged volcanic tunnel in the world. The island is a Biosphere Reserve protected site for God's sake!!!  Even if you've already seen these sites, the photograph opportunities are terrific, I would think.  I would love to holiday with you in the future, but if you think I'm going to stay indoors and watch television, (moreover, British programmes), all night, you are certainly mistaken mister!   I hope you and your mates have a great time, and with any luck, you'll be able to keep up with your favourite soap operas and the boxing and other sports shows that you normally watch at home.  (What's with the mean face all of a sudden? Sheesh, you're going on holiday for (beep) sake, try and hold a smile on that mug of yours)
