Can I take a hair straightener...?

Question

This week I am leaving on a cruise to the Bahamas. So I was packing because we're going to be going to Florida tomorrow morning. So I was wondering if I am allowed to take a straightener there? Am I allowed to use the straightener when I'm in the ship? Because I know irons are not allowed. So I just wanted to know.

Aaah this is my first cruise and its a carnival cruise.

Yep, I took mine.

My first cruise was a carnival cruise too. I went to Mexico though, but it was so much fun! I'm sure you'll have a blast also!

Yup I always bring mine :)

The first time I brought it on a cruise I even asked the people at the desk 'cause I didn't wanna get in trouble lol.  And that time it was a Carnival cruise.  The outlets on Carnival ships are for U.S. plugs though so you'll need an adapter if you are from a country that is different.  I love cruises I'm 15 and I've been on 7  try to meet people so you can have lots of fun!

Welll..... technically, they don't like stuff with a heating element.  It's a fire hazard.  Which is why irons are a no-no.  But they're not going to confiscate a straightener.  Just be absolutely sure to unplug it when you're not using it.  And when you use it, plug it straight into the socket (no power strips).

Yes you can! I'm never without my flat iron and a curling iron when I'm onboard. otherwise my hair would look horrible! lol

Yes, have fun!  It's in the 70's here in the evening and warm in the day 89. (Fla)
