  1. Yes, you can take anything into Cuba.

travellers cheque, credit card or debit cards. Mastercard or Visa

Make photocopies of your documents/cards and keep them elsewhere or you could save it into your email address on the internet!

  2. Yes you can take a Nintendo DS into Cuba, the best way to pay for trips is by Sterling, you get charged just over 11% if you pay by credit or debit card, if your debit or credit card is American based then don't bother taking it as they won't accept it, trip to Havana overnight is £103 per adult that included dinner, bed and breakfast at the Havana Libra hotel and tickets to the Tropicana club which is definately worth going to, no one under 16 is allowed into the show, swimming with dolphins is £57 and well worth it, you can buy the photographs afterwards for a few peso's, have a great trip Cuba is an amazing place.

  3. Hi

yes you can take your DS to Cuba for personal use.Remember you need a european plug adaptor and NOT a caribbean one ! We have been twice and we always take IPODS/MP3 etc etc. If you feel unsure, put it in your main luggage. We have never had any problems.

Cuba do not let you use any cards that have USA affiliations, so check who really owns the cards you are using. I used my Tesco credit card to pay for trips, no problem, at the Hotel.Mainly, we took sterling and changed it as we needed it. Also, you can take Euro. Some Cubans accept sterling/euros but if not you can change into Cuban tourist pesos and use them to pay for trips. Have a great time !

  4. Yes you can take your nintendo with you. Those items are allowed into Cuba without any worries.

If you have Sterling, just take those and convert to CUC there. Don't convert more than you need so you don't lose. (and CUC have not value outside of Cuba, so you'll want to re-convert your money before coming home).

Debit cards are 'iffy' in Cuba and not always guaranteed to work. But International credit cards work in Cuba (credit cards and travellers cheques that are not a US-financially based are accepted.)

If you choose to charge trips on your credit card, they will charge it in US$.

See the links for money planning.

Enjoy your trip! You will have a wonderful time!

  5. I took my PSP so i think you will be ok.

I took sterling and that was fine, no point changing sterling to euro's then euro into pesos. What ever you do dont take dollars, American travellers cheques or debit cards issued by American banks because they dont accept them

  6. Maybe, but I would advise against it out of consideration for the average Cuban, who has no access to those sort of luxuries.

  7. yeah you could, but i wouldn't.  have a safe trip
