Can I take a shower with my painful stitches?

Yesterday I got a scar removed from the side of my nose and I know have 20 stitches. The doctor glued sterile band aid type things which cannot be removed until next monday. I really need to take a shower and he said I could shower as long as keep my face relativly dry but I'm not sure how to keep my face dry... Could it like cause infection or something if it gets a little wet?

You can take a shower.  Just try not to get any soap in it especially anything with a lot of fragrance.  And definitelt do not rub the area.  But nothing will happen if it gets a little wet.
