Question:

Can I take bamboo knitting needles thru airport security?

Getting ready for an airline trip. It surely would be nice to be able to work on that top I'm knitting during the plane ride. I knit with bamboo (not metal) needles.. Does that matter? Are knitting needles allowed at all? seems to me if ball point pens and pencils are allowed the knitting needles would be too. BTW they are short and the circular type. (two bamboo sticks like a lead pencil connected by a thin plastic thread)

Thanks

  1. They took my sisters favourite tweezers off her and threw them away! Tweezers! they take toe nail clippers off you to! Knitting needles, like, they may be classified as a weapon of mass destruction!  It is stupid beyond belief I'd phone ahead, but I do believe they won't let you on with them.

  2. Actually, as long as they are under 31 inches long you can take them!
