Can I take chocolates in carryon bag in international flight?

I would liketo carry plenty of chocolates for my family in India from USA. can I do that in my carry on bags

  1. you can take any non perishable items on a plane. you cannot take things that are not manufactured in a factory and can bring bugs and parasites and foreign species to another country (which includes spices, fruit, veggies, meat, etc) i have brought cheese overseas and breads but put them in my checked bags


  2. Chocolate is no problem at all, as long as you don't take dairy goods, meat, and bottles with a volume bigger than 100 ml. My girlfriend and I will be bringing chocolate on the plane next week.
