I'm flying with my 5 year old daughter on USA 3000 from St. Petersburg/Clearwater, Florida to Detroit on Friday, taking off at 11:30 a.m., landing at 2:15 p.m. Given we'll be flying during lunch time and what it costs for a poor quality meal, I was thinking of packing sandwiches and snacks to eat on the plane. Will this be allowed through airport security?

  1. yes you can take food. When i travel, i take some small bags of chips and things like that

  2. The TSA says solid food yes, liquids no.  But some airports are not allowing food of any type to go through.  Depends on location.  Call the airport and ask.

  3. ITS JUST LIQUIDS  NOT ALLOWED

  4. Food, yes but no liquids.  Make sure it is solid food too like chips, sandwiches, etc.  If you have something like eggs sometimes the TSA will check that it's cooked through.

  5. You can bring food. It is a good idea to bring a little snack if your daughter is hungry. Just remember don't bring any bottled water.

If you want to know any other things you can and can't bring you can check out this website:

    Enjoy and have fun!
