Question:

Can I take it back?

Hello y'all.

I bought a digital camera with my birthday money in March. I let my cousin borrow it and he dropped it and now it popped open and broke. I bought it from bestbuy I was wondering can I still take it back even though it was 4 months ago that I bought it. I don't want a refund just an exchange. I have the receipt and the original box with and the papers and everything still inside.

If someone knows bestbuys digital camera policy it sure would be helpful...

Thanks for your time =]

  1. I don't think they will do anything.  Your cousin dropped it and it broke.  The person to talk to is your cousin.  She is the person responsible for breaking it.

  2. No.  Once a camera has been abused, return policies no longer cover them.  Neither do warranties.  It doesn't matter to the store whose fault it is or if it was just an accident.

Unless you bought an extended warranty that covers accidental damage.  Then go for it!

  3. Your cousin owes you a new camera.

You have to return a product that is in working condition and shows no damage.

Most stores have a 10 day return policy in any case.
