Question:

Can I take lavender sachets into China?

I would like to prepare and take lavender sachets over to China as gifts. I don't know what the policy is for taking plants or plant byproducts into the country. So far as I know they aren't seeds, and they aren't the whole plant, so it should be safe regardless.

If someone could point me to something on international plant regulations for travel, that would be good enough. Thanks!

  1. Hmm good question you can raither phone the embassy and ask or put them in your luggage.

The odds are you will not have your luggage search if you do get stopped, be very polite, play dumb and and make a point of saying that you thought the rules only applied to living plants and not dead ones, but only do so if they say that it was illegal to bring in.
